SV 977DA is a fully digital Level 1 sound and vibration analyzer designed specifically for general acoustic and vibration, environmental noise, occupational health, and building acoustic measurements.
This instrument has three acoustic and vibration configuration files that can be customized by the user, each of which uses independently defined frequency filters and RMS detector time constants for parallel measurement. Each configuration file provides a large number of results (such as SPL, Leq, Sel, Lden, LEPd, Ltm3, Ltm5, Lnn, LR15, LR60, Ovl, peak, maximum, and minimum values for sound measurements, and RMS, Ovl, peak, P-P for vibration measurements).
The advanced time history of each configuration is recorded on the SD card installed at the bottom of the instrument panel, providing complete information about the measurement signal, and can be easily downloaded to any PC through USB interface and SvanPC++software.
Level 1 sound level meter and analyzer
- Perform noise measurements (Spl, Lmax, Lmin, Lpeak, Leq, Sel, Lden, LEPd, Ltm3, ltm5, and 10 x Lnn statistics) in the frequency range of 3Hz to 20 kHz with accuracy in accordance with Level 1 IEC 61672-1:2013.
- Parallel pulses, fast and slow detectors, along with A, B, C, Z, U, UA, and LF frequency filters, are used for measurement.
- Dual measurement range: 25 dB rms (A) ÷ 123 dB peak (low) and 35 dB rms (A) ÷ 140 dB peak (high).
- Real time analysis of 1/1 octave and optional 1/3 octave -10 filters with a center frequency of 31,5 Hz ÷ 16 kHz and 31 filters with a center frequency of 20 Hz ÷ 20 kHz in accordance with Level 1 IEC 61260-1:2014.
- Optional reverberation time RT60 analysis function, suitable for 1/1 octave or 1/3 octave, three total RMS levels (A, C, and Z weights), in accordance with ISO 3382 standards.
Vibration meter and analyzer
- General vibration measurements (acceleration, velocity, and displacement) comply with ISO 20816-1:2016 standards, and the frequency range depends on the connected accelerometer, i.e. 0.5 Hz ÷ 14 kHz using SV 80 universal sensors.
- Parallel RMS or maximum, peak, peak to peak measurements.
- HP, HP1, HP3, HP10, Vel1, Vel3, Vel10, VelMF, Dil1, Dil3, Dil10, and Wh weighted filters.
- Real time analysis of 1/1 octave and optional 1/3 octave -15 filters with a center frequency of 1 Hz ÷ 16 kHz, 45 filters with a center frequency of 0.8 Hz ÷ 20 kHz, Level 1 IEC 61260-1:2014.
- Use an RPM probe for optional RPM measurement, connected to the I/O socket of SV 977D.
- Optional FFT analysis of a single population total using pre-selected frequency weighting filters and screens.
Frequency analysis, ultrasound, acoustic recording
Frequency analysis of signals within 1/1 or 1/3 octave bands can determine the impact of high or low frequencies on overall values. The optional microphone SV 977D provides ultrasonic analysis up to 40 kHz. The ultrasonic wave band is usually considered to be a frequency range above 20 kHz.
The limit of allowable ultrasound level is usually represented by the Leq and Max values specified in the one-third octave frequency band, which are 20 kHz, 25 kHz, 31.5 kHz, and 40 kHz, respectively.
The SV 977D also provides a time-domain signal recording option - recording raw signal samples at a defined frequency of up to 48 kHz. The svanpc++program can perform post-processing on high-quality wave files (48 kHz, 24 bits), such as tone calculation.
RT60 reverberation time measurement
RT60 analysis is an optional feature of SV 977D, which provides reverberation time calculation for the 1/1 octave frequency band (from 63 Hz to 16 kHz) or 1/3 octave frequency band (from 50 Hz to 20 kHz) and three total RMS levels (A, C, and Z weights). The entire measurement process and calculations implemented in SV 977D comply with the ISO 3382 standard.
Using SV 977D, the reverberation time of a room can be obtained through two measurement methods: pulse response method (pulse) and interruption noise method (attenuation). The choice of method depends on the type of sound source used. The pulse method is designed to use a pulse sound source (such as pistol shooting, petal explosion) for measurement, while the attenuation rule is used to measure the noise source (usually pink noise) when a room is excited by wide or narrow band sound.
The reverberation time analysis applied in the instrument consists of two parts:
- The measurement part that records the acoustic response of the room during the measurement period.
- The calculation section for calculating the reverberation time (EDT, RT20, RT30, and RTUser) of the measurement room response.
Telecommunication
Bluetooth for mobile applications ® interface
Bluetooth built-in to SV 977 sound level meter ® The interface, along with smartphone applications, extends the measurement capabilities of all functions provided by smartphones. Smartphone applications help users preview results in the form of time history graphs and numerical values. The size of mobile device displays makes it convenient to display spectral views (such as one-third octave analysis).
For architectural acoustics, smartphone applications help users calculate sound insulation effects according to ISO 16283. The sound insulation effect is displayed on the display screen and displayed in a report format that meets ISO requirements.
SvanPC++analysis software
It is an advanced PC software that supports SVANTEK measurement instruments, including the SV10x, SVAN95x, and SVAN97x series. This is an advanced application that enables various existing or extended functions, making each product easier to use.
In order to provide better services to users, SvanPC++software has been divided into several specialized modules with unique features.
The main module is free and provides functions such as downloading measurement data from the instrument to the PC, creating measurement settings, recalculating basic Leq/RMS, and displaying text measurement results in tables and graphics. The data can be exported to spreadsheets or text editors.
The basic version of SvanPC++can be extended through additional payments, which can be divided into: environmental monitoring, building acoustics, or remote communication.
